Grand Rapids Photography - Christmas 2010

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with family and friends! Christmas was especially fun this year as Jon and I celebrated with our 10 month old son, Luke - he gave lots of hugs and kisses as gifts and received some wonderful new toys and books that he is already breaking in:)
The best part of Christmas is to focus on the greatest gift, Jesus Christ. These lyrics, written so long ago by Isaac Watts, say it so well...Joy to the world, the Lord is come! Let earth receive her King, let every heart prepare Him room; and heaven and nature sing...He rules the world with truth and grace, and makes the nations prove the glories of His righteousness and wonders of His love. God's grace and peace to you in this coming new year!

Grand Rapids Family Photography - The VanEyk Family

On Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Dirk, Kristin, and their beautiful daughter Lily. I could tell they were loving being parents to her - she is such a sweet baby! Whenever she gave a smile her eyes just glowed! Dirk, the pastor at Encounter Church and Kristin, a high school teacher, were fun to work with and very photogenic:) We followed up their session by photographing Kristin's family as well. I can tell they have lots of fun when they are all together:) It was great to meet all of you and thanks for having me photograph your family - it was a blessing!
