Josh and Shelby met several years ago working at Portage Lake Covenant Bible Camp in Northern Michigan. After developing a friendship over the summer, they both realized what they felt for each was growing deeper…fast forward a few years and on September 7th, they committed their lives to each other in front of family and friends in the same place they met. Portage Lake Bible Camp has always been a significant part of their families – Shelby’s family has been spending summers up there for the last 43 years – so it made sense to begin their married life in a special place that has so much history in their lives. After the ceremony we drove over to Crystal Mountain for a gorgeous sunset reception. This wedding was also fun for me as a mom and wife bringing up my family for the weekend as well and getting a taste of what “family camp” is like:) Thank you both so much for including me as a part of your wedding day! God bless you both as you start this new journey together! Shelby wore the bow from her mom’s wedding dress – I love how weddings are truly inter-generational celebrations!
